Matthew & Charnee, a story came out of Australia in the heart of the Champagne

There are stories that crossed continents to come and write where the light is the most gentle. That of Matthew and Charnee is part of it. Straight from Australia, they have chosen the Champagne as the decoration of their stay, without imagining that this trip would become the most important chapter of their history.

A marriage proposal devised at a distance, thought with precision

A few weeks prior to their arrival in France, Matthew contacted me with a clear idea : to take advantage of their trip to Champagne to make his proposal of marriage to Charnee.

Together, we have built a customized experience, thinking in every detail. The goal was simple : to create a surprisingly elegant, natural, and perfectly integrated to the magic of the place.

Matthew wished to live a genuine moment around a visit of a cellar in a castle near Epernay. My choice is of course focused on the magnificent Château Comtesse Lafond, a refined atmosphere, surrounded by nature, ideal for an application that is intimate and discreet.

A floral decor hidden in the castle park

To preserve the surprise, we had a rendez-vous point discrete in the park of the castle. Floral décor carefully installed in the shade of the trees, like a bubble out of time, out of sight.

This place became the theatre of the most important moment of their journey.

The suspended moment of the request

After the cave tour, Matthew and Charnee headed towards the park, and then Matthew knelt down.

For a moment suspended. A pure emotion. “Yes,” full of joy, surprise and tears of happiness.

These seconds-not replayable not. They live fully, intensely, and remain etched forever.

A walk in the elegance of the Avenue de Champagne

After this request unforgettable, we continued the session, we walk on the legendary Avenue of Champagne.

Between the elegant architecture and unique atmosphere, this iconic place provided a perfect backdrop to continue to tell their story in pictures, in a more casual light and accomplice.

One last cup in Perrier-Jouët

To conclude this experiment, we stopped in the prestigious House of Perrier-Jouët.

In this refined setting, they shared a last glass of champagne, taking full advantage of the moment, still carried by the emotion of the request.

It was the perfect end to an experience conceived as a real emotional journey.
